Visual Arts
- Explore various mediums such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, and develop a strong portfolio of work that reflects your artistic vision.
Creative Writing
- Hone your skills in fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and playwriting, and learn to craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.
Performing Arts
- Focus on theatre, dance, or performance art, and gain practical experience in staging, choreography, and performance techniques.
Film and Media Arts
- Study film production, screenwriting, and digital media, and create innovative works that push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
The MFA program includes core courses, specialisation electives, and a thesis project. Core courses cover essential topics such as:
- Artistic Theory and Practice

Students choose electives based on their chosen specialisation, allowing them to tailor their education to their specific interests and career goals.
The thesis project is a central component of the MFA program, providing students with the opportunity to develop a significant body of work that showcases their artistic abilities and conceptual thinking. Students will work closely with faculty mentors to create, refine, and present their thesis projects, culminating in a public exhibition or performance.
To be considered for the MFA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in fine arts or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of recent work that demonstrates your artistic skills and creative vision.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
- Statement of Purpose: A personal statement outlining your artistic goals and how the MFA program aligns with them.
- Resume/CV: A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- Interview: Selected candidates may be invited for an interview as part of the admission process.
- Language Proficiency: For non-native English speakers, TOEFL or IELTS scores are required.
