Hotel and Resort Management
- Focus on the operational aspects of managing hotels and resorts, including front office operations, housekeeping, and guest services.
Event and Conference Management
- Study the planning and execution of events, conferences, and exhibitions, with an emphasis on logistics, marketing, and customer satisfaction.
Food and Beverage Management
- Explore the management of food and beverage operations, from menu planning and kitchen management to service excellence and cost control.
Tourism Management
- Learn about the global tourism industry, destination management, and sustainable tourism practices.
The MHM program includes core courses, specialisation electives, and a capstone project. Core courses cover essential topics such as:
- Hospitality Management Fundamentals
- Financial Management in Hospitality
- Marketing Strategies for Hospitality
- Leadership and Organizational Behavior
- Sustainable Hospitality Practices
Students can choose electives based on their chosen specialisation, allowing them to tailor their education to their specific interests and career goals.
The capstone project is a vital component of the MHM program, providing students with the opportunity to apply their learning to real-world hospitality management challenges. Working individually or in teams, students will conduct research, develop strategic plans, or design and implement innovative solutions, demonstrating their ability to lead in the hospitality industry.
To be considered for the MHM program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Work Experience: Relevant professional experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
- Statement of Purpose: A personal statement outlining your career goals and how the MHM program aligns with them.
- Resume/CV: A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- Standardized Test Scores: GRE scores may be required for some applicants.
- Language Proficiency: For non-native English speakers, TOEFL or IELTS scores are required.
