Overview
The MEM program at Advivum International Academy offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates engineering, management, and leadership training. Project Management
- Focus on planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Operations Management
- Study the principles of optimising production processes, supply chains, and service operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Explore the development of new technologies and learn to bring innovative ideas to market through entrepreneurship.
Sustainability and Environmental Management
- Examine sustainable practices in engineering and learn to implement solutions that minimise environmental impact.
The MEM program includes core courses, specialisation electives, and a capstone project. Core courses cover essential topics such as:
- Engineering Management Principles
- Financial Management for Engineers
- Leadership and Organizational Behavior
- Technology Strategy and Innovation
- Data-Driven Decision Making
Students can choose electives based on their chosen specialisation, allowing them to tailor their education to their specific interests and career goals.
The capstone project is a key component of the MEM program, providing students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world engineering management problems. Working individually or in teams, students will conduct research, develop strategic plans, or design and implement management solutions, demonstrating their ability to bridge the gap between engineering and business.
To be considered for the MEM program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Work Experience: Relevant professional experience in engineering or management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
- Statement of Purpose: A personal statement outlining your career goals and how the MEM program aligns with them.
- Resume/CV: A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- Standardized Test Scores: GRE scores may be required for some applicants.
- Language Proficiency: For non-native English speakers, TOEFL or IELTS scores are required.
