Master of Public Health (MPH)
Overview
The MPH program at Advivum International Academy offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers core public health disciplines, while also providing opportunities for specialisation. Students will gain expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, environmental health, and social and behavioural sciences, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to public health practice and research.

Epidemiology
- Focus on the study of disease patterns, causes, and effects in populations, and learn to apply statistical methods to public health research and practice.
Global Health
- Address global health issues, including infectious diseases, health disparities, and international health systems, with a focus on improving health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.
Health Policy and Management
- Gain insights into the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of health policies, and develop skills in health care management and leadership.
Environmental Health
- Study the impact of environmental factors on human health, and learn to design interventions to mitigate environmental health risks.
The MPH program includes core courses, specialization electives, and a capstone project. Core courses cover essential public health topics such as:
- Foundations of Public Health
- Epidemiology
- Biostatistics
- Environmental Health
- Health Policy and Management
- Social and Behavioral Sciences in Public Health
Students can choose electives based on their chosen specialization, allowing them to tailor their education to their specific interests and career goals.
The capstone project is a critical component of the MPH program, providing students with the opportunity to apply their learning to real-world public health issues. Working individually or in teams, students will conduct research, design interventions, or evaluate public health programs, demonstrating their ability to translate knowledge into action.
To be considered for the MPH program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Work Experience: Relevant professional experience in public health or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
- Statement of Purpose: A personal statement outlining your career goals and how the MPH program aligns with them.
- Resume/CV: A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- Standardised Test Scores: GRE scores may be required for some applicants.
- Language Proficiency: For non-native English speakers, TOEFL or IELTS scores are required.
